"AUGE IN AUGE" , ”An Atlas of Animal Anatomy for Artists”、「ゾウの時間 ネズミの時間―サイズの生物学」 [本と映像・音楽の話]
3月3日は「桃の節句」（「上巳」）ですが、自然のかけがえのない一部をなす野生動植物の一定の種が過度に国際取引に利用されることのないようこれらの種を保護することを目的としたワシントン条約（Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora（絶滅のおそれのある野生動植物の種の国際取引に関する条約）が1973年3月3日に採択されたことを記念し、「環境保全上だけでなく経済的、文化的にも重要な野生動植物の保護の取組を強化することを目的」に2013年、国連が指定した「世界野生生物の日」（リンク先はWWFジャパン）でもあります。
Frans Lanting (原著), Christine Eckstrom (編) : "AUGE IN AUGE" (2016 , Taschen Deutschland GmbH+)がBOOKOFF SUPER BAZAAR イトーヨーカドー流山店で目にはいりました。様々な動物の眼を中心に構成される写真集、ドイツ語ですが、「この本がドイツ語を勉強しなおすきっかけとなれば・・」で入手しました (^_^;
以下は英語による本書の紹介文です。

人体解剖に関する本を何冊か保有していることを以前のblogで書きました。
W. Ellenberger / H. Baum / H. Dittrich , Edited by Lewis S. Brown ”An Atlas of Animal Anatomy for Artists” (1956, Dover Publications)も同店で目にし、ページを開いて動物の筋肉、骨格について解説されていることから興味が湧き、入手しました。
