St Andrews （1996年の旅）

　スコットランドの独立の是非を問う住民投票、賛成45%に対して反対55%となり、the United Kingdom の分断は回避されました。他国のことですがホッとしました。
　1996年の旅、私、ゴルフはしませんが、1413年に創立されたスコットランドの最初の大学のUniversity of St Andrews（写真上）を見たくてThe Forth Bridgeを見た後、St Andrews まで足を延ばしました。雲が低くたれこめていて「北の国に来たためかな・・」と考えたことを思い出します。
